Welcome to Hollowcrest.
We are a nonprofit creative production company focused on meaningful storytelling, collaboration, and real-world creative experience. The people who choose to work with us are an essential part of what we build, and this agreement outlines the terms of that relationship.
By volunteering with Hollowcrest, you agree to the following:
1. Your Role
As a volunteer, you may contribute to a range of activities including production, creative development, events, marketing, operations, and other project-based work.
Responsibilities may vary depending on the needs of the organization and the nature of each project. We ask that all volunteers approach their work with professionalism, reliability, and respect for the team and the work being created.
2. Volunteer Status
Your participation with Hollowcrest is entirely voluntary and unpaid.
This means:
- You are not an employee or independent contractor
- You are not entitled to wages, benefits, insurance, or compensation
- Your involvement is based on mutual interest and collaboration
3. At-Will Participation
Volunteer involvement is flexible.
You may stop participating at any time, and Hollowcrest may also end a volunteer relationship at any time, particularly if expectations around conduct, communication, or reliability are not met.
4. Professional Conduct
Volunteers are expected to act in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
This includes:
- Communicating clearly and honestly
- Following through on commitments
- Respecting team members and collaborators
- Representing Hollowcrest in a positive and ethical way
5. Confidentiality
During your involvement, you may be exposed to internal information, creative ideas, project details, or materials that are not public.
You agree not to share, distribute, or use any confidential information outside of Hollowcrest without permission. This obligation continues even after your involvement ends.
6. Creative Work and Ownership
Any work created or contributed as part of Hollowcrest projects, including but not limited to content, footage, writing, designs, and concepts, may be used, edited, and distributed by Hollowcrest.
By participating, you acknowledge that your contributions are part of Hollowcrest’s projects and operations.
Unless otherwise stated, you may reference your work for personal portfolios in a professional manner, provided that no confidential or unreleased material is shared.
7. Assumption of Risk
Some activities may involve production environments, events, or other situations that carry inherent risks.
By participating, you understand that:
- You are doing so voluntarily
- You are responsible for your own safety and decisions
8. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that Hollowcrest, its directors, team members, and representatives are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur in connection with your volunteer participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Eligibility
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
If you are under 18, participation requires permission from a parent or legal guardian.
10. Legal Terms
This agreement represents the full understanding between you and Hollowcrest regarding volunteer participation.
It is governed by the laws of the State of California.
11. Agreement
By submitting a volunteer application and confirming acceptance on our website, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understood this agreement
- You agree to the terms outlined above
